NYE 2024: On the Deck with Midnight Fireworks

No Comments Gigs

FPV 2024 Fireworks Magnetic island – by Oliver Scheele

Imagine this: a deck perched on the water’s edge, the ocean’s gentle sway as our backdrop, and the excitement buzzing as the clock strikes midnight. Yes friends, we’re recounting our unforgettable night, set against the backdrop of a fireworks display painting the midnight sky.

As a band, we’ve seen our fair share of memorable gigs, but this one was truly exceptional. Nestled in the heart of North Queensland paradise, Magnetic Island’s Peppers Blue on Blue Resort deck offered an intimate space against the scenic beauty of the harbor. As midnight approached, the sky burst into a kaleidoscope of colours, fireworks dazzling the night.

As we played on, rain threatened, yet it only added to the drama. The gentle cascade of raindrops became the perfect accompaniment as the final chords faded away. Though the night ended, the memories will live on—a testament to music’s power to unite, even amidst nature’s fury.

Here’s to the nights that steal our breath, to the music that moves us, and to memories that last a lifetime.

With love and memories.

Sailing into the Night: MI Race Week

Saturday night was pure magic for us as we graced the stage at Peppers Blue on Blue Resort during Sealink Magnetic Island Race Week. We extend our heartfelt gratitude to the resort, club and the Race Week committee for inviting us to be part of such an unforgettable event. It was an evening of music, camaraderie, and the vibrant spirit of Race Week.

We were present for the daily presentations from Day 2 of Sailing with John Stokes – Commodore of the Townsville Yacht Club for the Townsville City Council Race Day, handing out the prizes to lucky winners and placegetters. Being amidst the passion and dedication of the sailors added a special touch to the festivities.

The atmosphere was electric with celebration and joy throughout the night. Our music echoed across the water as friends and family gathered to dance and revel in the moment. The spirit of camaraderie was palpable, uniting locals and visitors alike in their shared love for sailing and music. As the night progressed, the party only gained momentum, with the dance floor alive and the spirits souring.

It was an honor and a privilege to be a part of Race Week, and the memories of that night will remain etched in our hearts for years to come. To everyone who joined us, thank you for your unwavering support and infectious enthusiasm. Your energy fueled our performance and made it an unforgetable experience. We eagerly look forward to sailing with you again soon!

Until then, may the music and the sea continue to unite us in joyous celebration.
