A Night to Remember – Wedding at the Golf Club

No Comments News

In the heart of any vibrant music scene, the magic of live performances captivates, as melodies weave through the air, uniting hearts and souls. For us, our journey through melodies has been adorned with countless memorable gigs, among which Aley and Ben’s wedding at the serene backdrop of the Magnetic Island Country Golf Club shines brightly.

Private gigs hold a special place in our hearts, allowing us to share intimate moments with our audience, whether in the comfort of their homes or the elegance of public establishments. Among these cherished performances, Aley and Ben’s wedding night stands out as a beacon of joy and love, etched into our memories.

Underneath the stars, nestled within the expanse of the golf club, an elevated area set the stage with an outside dance floor, adorned with twinkling lights. As the night unfolded, the atmosphere was electric with anticipation and excitement. Aley and Ben, the epitome of elegance and grace, stood radiant amidst their loved ones, their smiles illuminating the entire venue with warmth. As our melodies filled the air, we witnessed the power of music to unite hearts and souls. Later, the dance floor came alive with laughter and happiness, a testament to the love that surrounded us.

In the end, it is moments like these that remind us why we do what we do – to spread joy, to celebrate love, and to create memories that will last a lifetime. And for that, we are eternally grateful.

Here’s to love, laughter, and the timeless magic of music.

Making Music in 2021-22

No Comments News

As a duo we’ve enjoyed some relaxed island gigs – at Sandi’s, Picnic Bay Hotel, the Magnetic Island Markets, and hosted karaoke at Amaroo On Mandalay. We’ve also partied some private gigs at the Magnetic Island Bowls Club, Magnetic Island Golf Club, Amaroo On Mandalay, Sandis, holiday homes, local residences, and weekend trips off the island.

For the 4-piece it’s been a great start – making music at Sandi’s Octoberfest, and Picnic Bay Hotel‘s Melbourne Cup, Townsville Airport Father’s Day and New Year’s Eve. The team also helped out at some charity events; the Arcadian Surf Life Saving Club‘s Good Friday at the Bay Party and managing the stage for ‘Dance for Dignity’, a sold-out charity ball for Share the Dignity – great work to all involved!

We love that we can do these around Maggie and have the opportunities to explore NQ 🙂

Within a few weeks, we were fortunate to have a weekly residency at Arcadia Village Hotel, in more recent times once every month.

Picnic bay hotel and The Marlin Bar Horseshoe Bay invited us to perform at some fantasic island events. We celebrated Australia Day with Arcadian Surf Life Saving Club at beautiful Alma Bay, had a beaut party at a holiday home, and performed for a function at the Brothers Leagues Club Townsville

What a BIG day!

After so many years, Gav had the opportunity to play in front of his pars in his home town. The vibe was very relaxed as everyone was simply ‘happy’ to be outside at beautiful Picnic Bay enjoying a fantastic event. Walks on Picnic Bay Beach are simply stunning, and on Picnic Bay Jett, it’s terrific to see the abundance of sea life.

Since then, we’re still enjoying our gigs at Arcadia Village Hotel, where you’ll often hear us rehearsing on Wednesday nights as we love catching up during the Arcadian Surf Life Saving Club toad races. Lol, yes, toad races, gotta check them out!

Our latest news is we’re doing our first gig in Townsville. To top it off, it’s at the Townsville Brothers Leagues Club, a highly awarded club in Kirwan, and not far from where Gav grew up. Soccer was a big thing for him and his family in the area back then.

Gav and Sharni were both soccer players….not so long ago!
